ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
The Lord is One and He can be attained through the grace of the true Guru.

ਛਪੈ ਛੰਦ ॥ ਤ੍ਵਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

CHHAPAI STANZA. BY THY GRACE
ਚੱਕ੍ਰ ਚਿਹਨ ਅਰੁ ਬਰਨ ਜਾਤਿ ਅਰੁ ਪਾਤਿ ਨਹਿਨ ਜਿਹ ॥
च्क्र चिहन अरु बरन जाति अरु पाति नहिन जिह ॥
He who is without mark or sign, He who is without caste or line.
ਰੂਪ ਰੰਗ ਅਰੁ ਰੇਖ ਭੇਖ ਕੋਊ ਕਹਿ ਨ ਸਕਤਿ ਕਿਹ ॥
रूप रंग अरु रेख भेख कोऊ कहि न सकति किह ॥
He who is without colour or form, and without any distinctive norm.
ਅਚਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਨਭਉ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ ਅਮਿਤੋਜਿ ਕਹਿਜੈ ॥
अचल मूरति अनभउ प्रकास अमितोजि कहिजै ॥
He who is without limit and motion, All effulgence, non-descript Ocean.
ਕੋਟਿ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਇੰਦ੍ਰਾਣਿ ਸਾਹੁ ਸਾਹਾਣਿ ਗਣਿਜੈ ॥
कोटि इंद्र इंद्राणि साहु साहाणि गणिजै ॥
The Lord of millions of Indras and kings, the Master of all worlds and beings.
ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣ ਮਹੀਪ ਸੁਰ ਨਰ ਅਸੁਰ ਨੇਤਿ ਨੇਤਿ ਬਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਣ ਕਹਤ ॥
त्रिभवण महीप सुर नर असुर नेति नेति बन त्रिण कहत ॥
Each twig of the foliage proclaims: “Not this Thou art
ਤ੍ਵ ਸਰਬ ਨਾਮ ਕਥੈ ਕਵਨ ਕਰਮ ਨਾਮ ਬਰਣਤ ਸੁਮਤਿ ॥੧॥
त्व सरब नाम कथै कवन करम नाम बरणत सुमति ॥१॥
All Thy Names cannot be told. One doth impart Thy Action-Name with benign heart.1.

Thou art the Supreme Purush, an Eternal Entity in the beginning and free from birth.
ਸਰਬ ਮਾਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਮਾਨ ਦੇਵ ਅਭੇਵ ਆਦਿ ਉਦਾਰ ॥
सरब मान त्रिमान देव अभेव आदि उदार ॥
Worshipped by all and venerated by three gods, Thou art without difference and art Generous from the very beginning.
ਸਰਬ ਪਾਲਕ ਸਰਬ ਘਾਲਕ ਸਰਬ ਕੋ ਪੁਨਿ ਕਾਲ ॥
सरब पालक सरब घालक सरब को पुनि काल ॥
Thou art the Creator Sustainer, Inspirer and Destroyer of all.
ਜੱਤ੍ਰ ਤੱਤ੍ਰ ਬਿਰਾਜਹੀ ਅਵਧੂਤ ਰੂਪ ਰਿਸਾਲ ॥੭੯॥
ज्त्र त्त्र बिराजही अवधूत रूप रिसाल ॥७९॥
Thou art present everywhere like an ascetic with a Generous disposition.79.
ਨਾਮ ਠਾਮ ਨ ਜਾਤਿ ਜਾਕਰ ਰੂਪ ਰੰਗ ਨ ਰੇਖ ॥
नाम ठाम न जाति जाकर रूप रंग न रेख ॥
Thou art Nameless, Placeless, Casteless, Formless, Colourless and Lineless.
ਆਦਿ ਪੁਰਖ ਉਦਾਰ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੋਨਿ ਆਦਿ ਅਸੇਖ ॥
आदि पुरख उदार मूरति अजोनि आदि असेख ॥
Thou, the Primal Purusha, art Unborn, Generous Entity and Perfect from the very beginning.
ਦੇਸ ਅਉਰ ਨ ਭੇਸ ਜਾਕਰ ਰੂਪ ਰੇਖ ਨ ਰਾਗ ॥
देस अउर न भेस जाकर रूप रेख न राग ॥
Thou art Countryless, Garbless, Formless, Lineless and Non-attached.
ਜਤ੍ਰ ਤਤ੍ਰ ਦਿਸਾ ਵਿਸਾ ਹੁਇ ਫੈਲਿਓ ਅਨੁਰਾਗ ॥੮੦॥
जत्र तत्र दिसा विसा हुइ फैलिओ अनुराग ॥८०॥
Thou art present in all direction and conners and Pervadest the Universe as Love.80.
ਨਾਮ ਕਾਮ ਬਿਹੀਨ ਪੇਖਤ ਧਾਮ ਹੂੰ ਨਹਿ ਜਾਹਿ ॥
नाम काम बिहीन पेखत धाम हूं नहि जाहि ॥
Thou appearest without name and desire, thou hast no particular Abode.
ਸਰਬ ਮਾਨ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਮਾਨ ਸਦੈਵ ਮਾਨਤ ਤਾਹਿ ॥
सरब मान सरब्त्र मान सदैव मानत ताहि ॥
Thou, being worshipped by all, art the Enjoyer of all.
ਏਕ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਨੇਕ ਦਰਸਨ ਕੀਨ ਰੂਪ ਅਨੇਕ ॥
एक मूरति अनेक दरसन कीन रूप अनेक ॥
Thou, the One Entity, appearest as Many creating innumerable forms.
ਖੇਲ ਖੇਲਿ ਅਖੇਲ ਖੇਲਨ ਅੰਤ ਕੋ ਫਿਰਿ ਏਕ ॥੮੧॥
खेल खेलि अखेल खेलन अंत को फिरि एक ॥८१॥
After playing the world-drama, when Thou wilt stop the play, Thou wilt be the same One again.81.
ਦੇਵ ਭੇਵ ਨ ਜਾਨਹੀ ਜਿਹ ਬੇਦ ਅਉਰ ਕਤੇਬ ॥
देव भेव न जानही जिह बेद अउर कतेब ॥
The gods and the Scriptures of Hindus and Muslims do not know Thy secret.
ਰੂਪ ਰੰਗ ਨ ਜਾਤਿ ਪਾਤਿ ਸੁ ਜਾਨਈ ਕਿਹ ਜੇਬ ॥
रूप रंग न जाति पाति सु जानई किह जेब ॥
How to know Thee when thou art Formless, Colourless, Casteless and without lineage?
ਤਾਤ ਮਾਤ ਨ ਜਾਤ ਜਾਕਰ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਬਿਹੀਨ ॥
तात मात न जात जाकर जनम मरन बिहीन ॥
Thou art without father and mother and art casteless, Thou art without births and deaths.
ਚੱਕ੍ਰ ਬੱਕ੍ਰ ਫਿਰੈ ਚਤੁਰ ਚਕਿ ਮਾਨ ਹੀ ਪੁਰ ਤੀਨ ॥੮੨॥
च्क्र ब्क्र फिरै चतुर चकि मान ही पुर तीन ॥८२॥
Thou movest fast like the disc in all the four directions and art worshipped by the three worlds. 82.
ਲੋਕ ਚਉਦਹ ਕੇ ਬਿਖੈ ਜਗ ਜਾਪ ਹੀ ਜਿਹ ਜਾਪੁ ॥
लोक चउदह के बिखै जग जाप ही जिह जापु ॥
The Name is recited in the fourteen divisions of the universe.
ਆਦਿ ਦੇਵ ਅਨਾਦਿ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਥਾਪਿਓ ਸਬੈ ਜਿਹ ਥਾਪੁ ॥
आदि देव अनादि मूरति थापिओ सबै जिह थापु ॥
Thou, the Primal God, art Eternal Entity and hast created the entire universe.
ਪਰਮ ਰੂਪ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
परम रूप पुनीत मूरति पूरन पुरख अपार ॥
Thou, the holiest Entity, art of Supreme Form, Thou art Bondless, Perfect Purusha.
ਸਰਬ ਬਿਸ੍ਵ ਰਚਿਓ ਸੁਯੰਭਵ ਗੜਨ ਭੰਜਨਹਾਰ ॥੮੩॥
सरब बिस्व रचिओ सुय्मभव गड़न भंजनहार ॥८३॥
Thou, the Self-Existent, Creator and Destroyer, hast crated the whole universe.83.
ਕਾਲ ਹੀਨ ਕਲਾ ਸੰਜੁਗਤਿ ਅਕਾਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਅਦੇਸ ॥
काल हीन कला संजुगति अकाल पुरख अदेस ॥
Thou art Dearthless, Almighty, Timeless Purasha and Countryless.
ਧਰਮ ਧਾਮ ਸੁ ਭਰਮ ਰਹਤ ਅਭੂਤ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਸ ॥
धरम धाम सु भरम रहत अभूत अलख अभेस ॥
Thou art the Abode of righteousness; Thou art Illusionless, Garbless, Incomprehensible and devoid of five elements.
ਅੰਗ ਰਾਗ ਨ ਰੰਗ ਜਾ ਕਹਿ ਜਾਤਿ ਪਾਤਿ ਨ ਨਾਮ ॥
अंग राग न रंग जा कहि जाति पाति न नाम ॥
Thou art without body, without attachment, without colour, caste, lineage and name.
ਗਰਬ ਗੰਜਨ ਦੁਸਟ ਭੰਜਨ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਦਾਇਕ ਕਾਮ ॥੮੪॥
गरब गंजन दुसट भंजन मुकति दाइक काम ॥८४॥
Thou art the Destroyer of ego, the vanquisher of tyrants and performer of works leading to salvation.84.
ਆਪ ਰੂਪ ਅਮੀਕ ਅਨਉਸਤਤਿ ਏਕ ਪੁਰਖ ਅਵਧੂਤ ॥
आप रूप अमीक अनउसतति एक पुरख अवधूत ॥
Thou art the Deepest and Indescribable Entity, the One unique ascetic Purusha.
ਗਰਬ ਗੰਜਨ ਸਰਬ ਭੰਜਨ ਆਦਿ ਰੂਪ ਅਸੂਤ ॥
गरब गंजन सरब भंजन आदि रूप असूत ॥
Thou, the Unborn Primal Entity, art the Destroyer of all egocentric people.
ਅੰਹ ਹੀਨ ਅਭੰਗ ਅਨਾਤਮ ਏਕ ਪੁਰਖ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
अंह हीन अभंग अनातम एक पुरख अपार ॥
Thou, the Boundless Purusha, art Limbless, Indestructible and without self.
ਸਰਬ ਲਾਇਕ ਸਰਬ ਘਾਇਕ ਸਰਬ ਕੋ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਰ ॥੮੫॥
सरब लाइक सरब घाइक सरब को प्रतिपार ॥८५॥
Thou art capable of doing everything, Thou Destroyest all and Sustainest all.85.
ਸਰਬ ਗੰਤਾ ਸਰਬ ਹੰਤਾ ਸਰਬ ਤੇ ਅਨਭੇਖ ॥
सरब गंता सरब हंता सरब ते अनभेख ॥
Thou knowest all, Destroyest all and art beyond all the guises.
ਸਰਬ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਨ ਜਾਨਹੀ ਜਿਹ ਰੂਪ ਰੰਗੁ ਅਰੁ ਰੇਖ ॥
सरब सासत्र न जानही जिह रूप रंगु अरु रेख ॥
Thy form, colour and marks are not known to all the Scriptures.
ਪਰਮ ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਣ ਜਾਕਹਿ ਨੇਤਿ ਭਾਖਤ ਨਿਤ ॥
परम बेद पुराण जाकहि नेति भाखत नित ॥
The Vedas and the Puransa always declare Thee the Supreme and the Greatest.
ਕੋਟਿ ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪੁਰਾਨ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਵਹੁ ਚਿੱਤ ॥੮੬॥
कोटि सिम्रित पुरान सासत्र न आवई वहु चि्त ॥८६॥
None can comprehend thee completely through millions of Smritis, Puranas and Shastras.86.

आसन अभंग ॥ उपमा अनंग ॥८७॥
Thy seat is Eternal, Thy Eminence is Perfect.87.

अनभउ प्रकास ॥ निस दिन अनास ॥
Thou art Self-luminous and remianest the same during day and night.

They arms stretch upto Thy knees and Thou art king of kings.88.

Thou art king of kings, sun of suns.

ਕਿ ਆਛਿੱਜ ਦੇਸੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਆਭਿੱਜ ਭੇਸੈ ॥
कि आछि्ज देसै ॥ कि आभि्ज भेसै ॥
That thy Abode is unconquerable. That Thy Garb is unimpaired.
ਕਿ ਆਗੰਜ ਕਰਮੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਆਭੰਜ ਭਰਮੈ ॥੧੦੩॥
कि आगंज करमै ॥ कि आभंज भरमै ॥१०३॥
That Thou art beyond impact of Karmas. That Thou art free from doubts.103.
ਕਿ ਆਭਿਜ ਲੋਕੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਆਦਿਤ ਸੋਕੈ ॥
कि आभिज लोकै ॥ कि आदित सोकै ॥
That Thy abode is unimpaired. That thy canst dry up the sun.
ਕਿ ਅਵਧੂਤ ਬਰਨੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਬਿਭੂਤ ਕਰਨੈ ॥੧੦੪॥
कि अवधूत बरनै ॥ कि बिभूत करनै ॥१०४॥
That Thy demeanour is saintly. That thou art the Source of wealth.104.
ਕਿ ਰਾਜੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਧਰਮੰ ਧੁਜਾ ਹੈਂ ॥
कि राजं प्रभा हैं ॥ कि धरमं धुजा हैं ॥
That Thou art the glory of kingdom. That Thou art eh ensign of righteousness.
ਕਿ ਆਸੋਕ ਬਰਨੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਸਰਬਾ ਅਭਰਨੈ ॥੧੦੫॥
कि आसोक बरनै ॥ कि सरबा अभरनै ॥१०५॥
That Thou hast no worries. That Thou art the ornamentation of all.105.
ਕਿ ਜਗਤੰ ਕ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਛਤ੍ਰੰ ਛਤ੍ਰੀ ਹੈਂ ॥
कि जगतं क्रिती हैं ॥ कि छत्रं छत्री हैं ॥
That Thou art the Creator of the universe. That Thou art the Bravest of the Brave.
ਕਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰ ਸਰੂਪੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਅਨਭਉ ਅਨੂਪੈ ॥੧੦੬
कि ब्रहमं सरूपै ॥ कि अनभउ अनूपै ॥१०६
That Thou art All-Pervading Entity. That Thou art the Source of Divine Knowledge.106.
ਕਿ ਆਦਿ ਅਦੇਵ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਆਪਿ ਅਭੇਵ ਹੈਂ ॥
कि आदि अदेव हैं ॥ कि आपि अभेव हैं ॥
That Thou art the Primal Entity without a Master. That Thou art self-illumined.
ਕਿ ਚਿੱਤ੍ਰੰ ਬਿਹੀਨੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਏਕੈ ਅਧੀਨੈ ॥੧੦੭॥
कि चि्त्रं बिहीनै ॥ कि एकै अधीनै ॥१०७॥
That Thou art without any portrait. That Thou art Master of Thyself.107.
ਕਿ ਰੋਜੀ ਰਜਾਕੈ ॥ ਰਹੀਮੈ ਰਿਹਾਕੈ ॥
कि रोजी रजाकै ॥ रहीमै रिहाकै ॥
That Thou art the Sustainer and Generous. That Thou art the Re-deemer and Pure.
ਕਿ ਪਾਕ ਬਿਐਬ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਗੈਬੁਲ ਗ਼ੈਬ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੦੮॥
कि पाक बिऐब हैं ॥ कि गैबुल ग़ैब हैं ॥१०८॥
That Thou art Flawless. That Thou art most Mysterious.108.
ਕਿ ਅਫਵੁਲ ਗੁਨਾਹ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਾਹਾਨ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਹੈਂ ॥
कि अफवुल गुनाह हैं ॥ कि शाहान शाह हैं ॥
That Thou forgivest sins. That Thou art the Emperor of Emperors.
ਕਿ ਕਾਰਨ ਕੁਨਿੰਦ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਰੋਜ਼ੀ ਦਿਹਿੰਦ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੦੯॥
कि कारन कुनिंद हैं ॥ कि रोज़ी दिहिंद हैं ॥१०९॥
That Thou art Doer of everything. That Thou art the Giver of the means of sustenance.109.
ਕਿ ਰਾਜ਼ਕ ਰਹੀਮ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਕਰਮੰ ਕਰੀਮ ਹੈਂ ॥
कि राज़क रहीम हैं ॥ कि करमं करीम हैं ॥
That Thou art the Generous Sustainer. That Thou art the Most Compassionate.
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੰ ਕਲੀ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਸਰਬੰ ਦਲੀ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੧੦॥
कि सरबं कली हैं ॥ कि सरबं दली हैं ॥११०॥
That Thou art Omnipotent. That Thou art the Destroyer of all.110.
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਮਾਨਿਯੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਦਾਨਿਯੈ ॥
कि सरब्त्र मानियै ॥ कि सरब्त्र दानियै ॥
That Thou art worshipped by all. That Thou art the Donor of all.
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਗਉਨੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਭਉਨੈ ॥੧੧੧॥
कि सरब्त्र गउनै ॥ कि सरब्त्र भउनै ॥१११॥
That Thou goest everywhere. That Thou residest every-where.111.
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਦੇਸੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਭੇਸੈ ॥
कि सरब्त्र देसै ॥ कि सरब्त्र भेसै ॥
That Thou art in every country. That Thou art in every garb.
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਰਾਜੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਸਾਜੈ ॥੧੧੨॥
कि सरब्त्र राजै ॥ कि सरब्त्र साजै ॥११२॥
That Thou art the King of all. That Thou art the Creator of all.112.
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਦੀਨੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਲੀਨੈ ॥
कि सरब्त्र दीनै ॥ कि सरब्त्र लीनै ॥
That Thou be longest to all religious. That Thou art within everyone.
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਜਾਹੋ ॥ ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਭਾਹੋ ॥੧੧੩॥
कि सरब्त्र जाहो ॥ कि सरब्त्र भाहो ॥११३॥
That Thou livest everywhere. That Thou art the Glory of all. 113.
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਦੇਸੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਭੇਸੈ ॥
कि सरब्त्र देसै ॥ कि सरब्त्र भेसै ॥
That Thou art in all the countries. That Thou art in all the garbs.
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਕਾਲੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਪਾਲੈ ॥੧੧੪॥
कि सरब्त्र कालै ॥ कि सरब्त्र पालै ॥११४॥
That Thou art the Destroyer of all. That Thou art the Sustainer of all. 114.
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਹੰਤਾ ॥ ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਗੰਤਾ ॥
कि सरब्त्र हंता ॥ कि सरब्त्र गंता ॥
That Thou destroyest all. That Thou goest to all the places.
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਭੇਖੀ ॥ ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਪੇਖੀ ॥੧੧੫॥
कि सरब्त्र भेखी ॥ कि सरब्त्र पेखी ॥११५॥
That Thou wearest all the garbs. That Thou seest all. 115.
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਕਾਜੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਰਾਜੈ ॥
कि सरब्त्र काजै ॥ कि सरब्त्र राजै ॥
That Thou art the cause of all. That Thou art the Glory of all.
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਸੋਖੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਪੋਖੈ ॥੧੧੬॥
कि सरब्त्र सोखै ॥ कि सरब्त्र पोखै ॥११६॥
That Thou driest up all. That Thou fillest up all. 116.
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਤ੍ਰਾਣੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੈ ॥
कि सरब्त्र त्राणै ॥ कि सरब्त्र प्राणै ॥
That Thou art the Strength of all. That Thou art the life of all.
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਦੇਸੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਭੇਸੈ ॥੧੧੭॥
कि सरब्त्र देसै ॥ कि सरब्त्र भेसै ॥११७॥
That Thou art in all countries. That Thou art in garbs. 117.
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਮਾਨਿਯੈਂ ॥ ਸਦੈਵੰ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਿਯੈਂ ॥
कि सरब्त्र मानियैं ॥ सदैवं प्रधानियैं ॥
That Thou art worshipped everywhere. That Thou art the Supreme Controller of all.
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਜਾਪਿਯੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਥਾਪਿਯੈ ॥੧੧੮॥
कि सरब्त्र जापियै ॥ कि सरब्त्र थापियै ॥११८॥
That Thou art remembered everywhere. That Thou art established everywhere. 118.
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਭਾਨੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਮਾਨੈ ॥
कि सरब्त्र भानै ॥ कि सरब्त्र मानै ॥
That Thou illuminest everything. That Thou art honoured by all.
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਇੰਦ੍ਰੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਸਰਬੱਤ੍ਰ ਚੰਦ੍ਰੈ ॥੧੧੯॥
कि सरब्त्र इंद्रै ॥ कि सरब्त्र चंद्रै ॥११९॥
That Thou art Indra (King) of all. That Thou art the moon (Light) of all. 119.
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੰ ਕਲੀਮੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੰ ਫ਼ਹੀਮੈ ॥
कि सरबं कलीमै ॥ कि परमं फ़हीमै ॥
That Thou art master off all powers. That Thou art Most Intelligent.
ਕਿ ਆਕਿਲ ਅਲਾਮੈ ॥ ਕਿ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕਲਾਮੈ ॥੧੨੦॥
कि आकिल अलामै ॥ कि साहिब कलामै ॥१२०॥
That Thou art Most Wise and Learned. That Thou art the Master of Languages. 120.
ਕਿ ਹੁਸਨਲ ਵਜੂ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਤਮਾਮੁਲ ਰੁਜੂ ਹੈਂ ॥
कि हुसनल वजू हैं ॥ तमामुल रुजू हैं ॥
That Thou art the Embodiment of Beauty. That all look towards Thee.
ਹਮੇਸੁਲ ਸਲਾਮੈ ॥ ਸਲੀਖਤ ਮੁਦਾਮੈਂ ॥੧੨੧॥
हमेसुल सलामै ॥ सलीखत मुदामैं ॥१२१॥
That Thou abidest forever. That Thou hast perpetual offspring. 121.
ਗ਼ਨੀਮੁਲ ਸ਼ਿਕਸਤੈ ॥ ਗਰੀਬੁਲ ਪਰਸਤੈ ॥
ग़नीमुल शिकसतै ॥ गरीबुल परसतै ॥
That Thou art the conquereror of mighty enemies. That Thou art the Protector of the lowly.
ਬਿਲੰਦੁਲ ਮਕਾਨੈ ॥ ਜ਼ਮੀਨੁਲ ਜ਼ਮਾਨੈ ॥੧੨੨॥
बिलंदुल मकानै ॥ ज़मीनुल ज़मानै ॥१२२॥
That Thy Abode is the Highest. That Thou Pervadest on Earth and in Heavens. 122.
ਤਮੀਜ਼ੁਲ ਤਮਾਮੈਂ ॥ ਰੁਜੂਅਲ ਨਿਧਾਨੈਂ ॥
तमीज़ुल तमामैं ॥ रुजूअल निधानैं ॥
That Thou discriminatest all. That Thou art most Considerate.
ਹਰੀਫ਼ੁਲ ਅਜੀਮੈਂ ॥ ਰਜ਼ਾਇਕ ਯਕੀਨੈ ॥੧੨੩॥
हरीफ़ुल अजीमैं ॥ रज़ाइक यकीनै ॥१२३॥
That Thou art the Greatest Friend. That Thou art certainlyhe Giver of food.123.
ਅਨੇਕੁਲ ਤਰੰਗ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਅਭੇਦ ਹੈਂ ਅਭੰਗ ਹੈਂ ॥
अनेकुल तरंग हैं ॥ अभेद हैं अभंग हैं ॥
That Thou, as Ocean, Hast innumerable waves. That Thou art Immortal and none can know Thy secrets.
ਅਜ਼ੀਜ਼ੁਲ ਨਿਵਾਜ਼ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਗ਼ਨੀਮੁਲ ਖਿਰਾਜ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੨੪॥
अज़ीज़ुल निवाज़ हैं ॥ ग़नीमुल खिराज हैं ॥१२४॥
That Thou Protectest the devotees. That Thou punishest the evil-doers.124.
ਨਿਰੁਕਤ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਤ੍ਰਿਮੁਕਤਿ ਬਿਭੂਤ ਹੈਂ ॥
निरुकत सरूप हैं ॥ त्रिमुकति बिभूत हैं ॥
That Thy Entity is Indexpressible. That Thy Glory is Beyond the three Modes.
ਪ੍ਰਭੁਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਸੁਜੁਗਤਿ ਸੁਧਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੨੫॥
प्रभुगति प्रभा हैं ॥ सुजुगति सुधा हैं ॥१२५॥
That Thine is the Most Powerful Glow. That Thou art ever united with all.125.
ਸਦੈਵੰ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਅਭੇਦੀ ਅਨੂਪ ਹੈਂ ॥
सदैवं सरूप हैं ॥ अभेदी अनूप हैं ॥
That Thou art Eternal Entity. That Thou art undivided and unparalleled.
ਸਮਸਤੋ ਪਰਾਜ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਸਦਾ ਸਰਬ ਸਾਜ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੨੬॥
समसतो पराज हैं ॥ सदा सरब साज हैं ॥१२६॥
That Thou art the Creator of all. That Thou art ever the Ornamentation of all. 126.
ਸਮਸਤੁਲ ਸਲਾਮ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਸਦੈਵਲ ਅਕਾਮ ਹੈਂ ॥
समसतुल सलाम हैं ॥ सदैवल अकाम हैं ॥
That Thou art saluted by all. That Thou art ever the Desireless Lord.
ਨ੍ਰਿਬਾਧ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਅਗਾਧ ਹੈਂ ਅਨੂਪ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੨੭॥
न्रिबाध सरूप हैं ॥ अगाध हैं अनूप हैं ॥१२७॥
That Thou art Invincible. That Thou art Impenetrable and Unparalleled Entity.127.
ਓਅੰ ਆਦਿ ਰੂਪੇ ॥ ਅਨਾਦਿ ਸਰੂਪੈ ॥
ओअं आदि रूपे ॥ अनादि सरूपै ॥
That Thou art Aum the primal Entity. That Thou art also without beginning.
ਅਨੰਗੀ ਅਨਾਮੇ ॥ ਤ੍ਰਿਭੰਗੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਕਾਮੇ ॥੧੨੮॥
अनंगी अनामे ॥ त्रिभंगी त्रिकामे ॥१२८॥
That Thu art Bodyless and Nameless. That Thou art the Destroyer and Restorer of three modes. 128.
ਤ੍ਰਿਬਰਗੰ ਤ੍ਰਿਬਾਧੇ ॥ ਅਗੰਜੇ ਅਗਾਧੇ ॥
त्रिबरगं त्रिबाधे ॥ अगंजे अगाधे ॥
That Thou art the Destroyer of three gods and modes. That Thou art Immortal and Impenetrable.
ਸੁਭੰ ਸਰਬ ਭਾਗੇ ॥ ਸੁ ਸਰਬਾ ਅਨੁਰਾਗੇ ॥੧੨੯॥
सुभं सरब भागे ॥ सु सरबा अनुरागे ॥१२९॥
That Thy Writ of Destiny is for all. That Thou lovest all. 129.
ਤ੍ਰਿਭੁਗਤ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਅਛਿੱਜ ਹੈਂ ਅਛੂਤ ਹੈਂ ॥
त्रिभुगत सरूप हैं ॥ अछि्ज हैं अछूत हैं ॥
That Thou art the Enjoyer Entity of three worlds. That Thou art Unbreakable and untouched.
ਕਿ ਨਰਕੰ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਸ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਪ੍ਰਿਥੀਉਲ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਸ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੩੦॥
कि नरकं प्रणास हैं ॥ प्रिथीउल प्रवास हैं ॥१३०॥
That Thou art the Destroyer of hell. That Thou Pervadest the Earth. 130.
ਨਿਰੁਕਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਸਦੈਵੰ ਸਦਾ ਹੈਂ ॥
निरुकति प्रभा हैं ॥ सदैवं सदा हैं ॥
That Thy Glory is Inexpressible. That Thou art Eternal.
ਬਿਭੁਗਤਿ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈ ॥ ਪ੍ਰਜੁਗਤਿ ਅਨੂਪ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੩੧॥
बिभुगति सरूप है ॥ प्रजुगति अनूप हैं ॥१३१॥
That Thou abidest in innumerable diverse guises. That Thou art wonderfully united with all. 131.
ਨਿਰੁਕਤਿ ਸਦਾ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਬਿਭੁਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਹੈਂ ॥
निरुकति सदा हैं ॥ बिभुगति प्रभा हैं ॥
That Thou art ever Inexpressible. That Thy Glory appears in diverse guises.
ਅਨਉਕਤਿ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਪ੍ਰਜੁਗਤਿ ਅਨੂਪ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੩੨॥
अनउकति सरूप हैं ॥ प्रजुगति अनूप हैं ॥१३२॥
That Thy Form is Indescribable. That Thou art wonderfully united with all. 132.

न पोत्रै न पुत्रै॥ न सत्रै न मित्रै ॥
O Lord! Thou art Sonless and Grandsonless. O Lord! Thou art Enemyless and Friendless.
ਨ ਤਾਤੈ ਨ ਮਾਤੈ ॥ ਨ ਜਾਤੈ ਨ ਪਾਤੈ ॥੧੪੮॥
न तातै न मातै ॥ न जातै न पातै ॥१४८॥
O Lord! Thou art Fatherless and Motherless. O Lord! Thou art Casteless. And Lineagless. 148.
ਨ੍ਰਿਸਾਕੰ ਸਰੀਕ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਅਮਿਤੋ ਅਮੀਕ ਹੈਂ ॥
न्रिसाकं सरीक हैं ॥ अमितो अमीक हैं ॥
O Lord! Thou art Relativeless. O Lord! Thou art Limitless and Profound.
ਸਦੈਵੰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਅਜੈ ਹੈਂ ਅਜਾ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੪੯॥
सदैवं प्रभा हैं ॥ अजै हैं अजा हैं ॥१४९॥
O Lord! Thou art Ever Glorious. O Lord! Thou art Unconquerable and Unborn. 149.

कि ज़ाहिर ज़हूर हैं ॥ कि हाज़िर हज़ूर हैं ॥
That Thou art visible illumination. That Thou art All-Prevading.
ਹਮੇਸੁਲ ਸਲਾਮ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਸਮਸਤੁਲ ਕਲਾਮ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੫੦॥
हमेसुल सलाम हैं ॥ समसतुल कलाम हैं ॥१५०॥
That Thou art reveiver of Eternal conpliments. That Thou art Venerated by all. 150
ਕਿ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਿਮਾਗ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਹੁਸਨਲ ਚਰਾਗ ਹੈਂ ॥
कि साहिब दिमाग हैं ॥ कि हुसनल चराग हैं ॥
That Thou art Most Intelligent. That Thou art the Lamp of Beauty.
ਕਿ ਕਾਮਲ ਕਰੀਮ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਰਾਜ਼ਕ ਰਹੀਮ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੫੧॥
कि कामल करीम हैं ॥ कि राज़क रहीम हैं ॥१५१॥
That Thou art completely Generous. That Thou art Sustainer and Merciful.151.
ਕਿ ਰੋਜ਼ੀ ਦਿਹਿੰਦ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਰਾਜ਼ਕ ਰਹਿੰਦ ਹੈਂ ॥
कि रोज़ी दिहिंद हैं ॥ कि राज़क रहिंद हैं ॥
That Thou art Giver of Sustenance. That Thou art ever the Sustainer.
ਕਰੀਮੁਲ ਕਮਾਲ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਹੁਸਨਲ ਜਮਾਲ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੫੨॥
करीमुल कमाल हैं ॥ कि हुसनल जमाल हैं ॥१५२॥
That Thou art the perfection of Generosity. That Thou art Most Beautiful. 152.
ਗ਼ਨੀਮੁਲ ਖ਼ਿਰਾਜ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਗ਼ਰੀਬੁਲ ਨਿਵਾਜ਼ ਹੈਂ ॥
ग़नीमुल ख़िराज हैं ॥ ग़रीबुल निवाज़ हैं ॥
That Thou art the Penaliser of enemies. That Thou art the Supporter of the poor.
ਹਰਫ਼ਿੁਲ ਸ਼ਿਕੰਨ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਹਿਰਾਸੁਲ ਫਿਕੰਨ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੫੩॥
हरफ़िुल शिकंन हैं ॥ हिरासुल फिकंन हैं ॥१५३॥
That Thou art the Destroyer of enemies That Thou art the remover of Fear. 153.
ਕਲੰਕੰ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਸ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਸਮਸਤੁਲ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਹੈਂ ॥
कलंकं प्रणास हैं ॥ समसतुल निवास हैं ॥
That Thou art the Destroyer of blemishes. That Thou art the dweller in all.
ਅਗੰਜੁਲ ਗਨੀਮ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਰਜਾਇਕ ਰਹੀਮ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੫੪॥
अगंजुल गनीम हैं ॥ रजाइक रहीम हैं ॥१५४॥
That Thou art invincible by enemies. That Thou art the Sustainer and Gracious. 154.
ਸਮਸਤੁਲ ਜੁਬਾਂ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕਿਰਾਂ ਹੈਂ ॥
समसतुल जुबां हैं ॥ कि साहिब किरां हैं ॥
That Thou art the Master of all languages. That Thou art the Most Glorious.
ਕਿ ਨਰਕੰ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਸ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਬਹਿਸਤੁਲ ਨਿਵਾਸ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੫੫॥
कि नरकं प्रणास हैं ॥ बहिसतुल निवास हैं ॥१५५॥
That Thou art the Destroyer of hell. That Thou art the dweller in heaven.155.
ਕਿ ਸਰਬੁਲ ਗਵੰਨ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਹਮੇਸੁਲ ਰਵੰਨ ਹੈਂ ॥
कि सरबुल गवंन हैं ॥ हमेसुल रवंन हैं ॥
That Thou art the Goer to all. That Thou art ever Blissful.
ਤਮਾਮੁਲ ਤਮੀਜ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਸਮਸਤੁਲ ਅਜੀਜ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੫੬॥
तमामुल तमीज हैं ॥ समसतुल अजीज हैं ॥१५६॥
That Thou art the knower of all. That Thou art dearest to all. 156.
ਪਰੰ ਪਰਮ ਈਸ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਸਮਸਤੁਲ ਅਦੀਸ ਹੈਂ ॥
परं परम ईस हैं ॥ समसतुल अदीस हैं ॥
That Thou art the Lord of lords. That Thou art hidden from all.
ਅਦੇਸੁਲ ਅਲੇਖ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਹਮੇਸੁਲ ਅਭੇਖ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੫੭॥
अदेसुल अलेख हैं ॥ हमेसुल अभेख हैं ॥१५७॥
That Thou art countryless and accountless. That Thou art ever garbles. 157.
ਜ਼ਮੀਨੁਲ ਜ਼ਮਾਂ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਅਮੀਕੁਲ ਇਮਾਂ ਹੈਂ ॥
ज़मीनुल ज़मां हैं ॥ अमीकुल इमां हैं ॥
That Thou art in Earth and Heaven.. That Thou art Most Profound in signs.
ਕਰੀਮੁਲ ਕਮਾਲ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਜੁਰਅਤਿ ਜਮਾਲ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੍ਹੂ੫੮॥
करीमुल कमाल हैं ॥ कि जुरअति जमाल हैं ॥१्हू५८॥
That Thou art Most Generous. That Thou art embodiment of courage and beauty. 158.
ਕਿ ਅਚਲੰ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਅਮਿਤੋ ਸੁਬਾਸ ਹੈਂ ॥
कि अचलं प्रकास हैं ॥ कि अमितो सुबास हैं ॥
That Thou art perpetual illumination. That Thou art Limitless fragrance.
ਕਿ ਅਜਬ ਸਰੂਪ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਅਮਿਤੋ ਬਿਭੁੂਤ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੫੯॥
कि अजब सरूप हैं ॥ कि अमितो बिभुूत हैं ॥१५९॥
That Thou art wonderful entity. That Thou art Limitless Grandeur. 159.
ਕਿ ਅਮਿਤੋ ਪਸਾ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਆਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਹੈਂ ॥
कि अमितो पसा हैं ॥ कि आतम प्रभा हैं ॥
That Thou art Limitless Expanse. That Thou art selfluminous.
ਕਿ ਅਚਲੰ ਅਨੰਗ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਿ ਅਮਿਤੋ ਅਭੰਗ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੬੦॥
कि अचलं अनंग हैं ॥ कि अमितो अभंग हैं ॥१६०॥
That Thou art Steady and Limbless. That Thou art Infinite and Indestructible. 160.
ਮਧੁਭਾਰ ਛੰਦ ॥ ਤ੍ਵਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
मधुभार छंद ॥ त्वप्रसादि ॥
MADHUBHAR STANZA. BY THY GRACE.
ਮੁਨਿ ਮਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਨਾਮ ॥ ਗੁਨਿ ਗਨ ਮੁਦਾਮ ॥
मुनि मनि प्रनाम ॥ गुनि गन मुदाम ॥
O Lord! The sages bow before Thee in their mind. O Lord! Thou art ever the Treasure of virtues.
ਅਰਿ ਬਰ ਅਗੰਜ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਨਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੰਜ ॥੧੬੧॥
अरि बर अगंज ॥ हरि नर प्रभंज ॥१६१॥
O Lord! Thou canst not be destroyed by great enemies. O Lord! Thou art the Destroyer of all.161.
ਅਨਗਨ ਪ੍ਰਨਾਮ ॥ ਮੁਨਿ ਮਨਿ ਸਲਾਮ ॥
अनगन प्रनाम ॥ मुनि मनि सलाम ॥
O Lord! Innumerable beings bow before Thee. O Lord! The sages salute Thee in their mind.
ਹਰਿ ਨਰ ਅਖੰਡ ॥ ਬਰ ਨਰ ਅਮੰਡ ॥੧੬੨॥
हरि नर अखंड ॥ बर नर अमंड ॥१६२॥
O Lord! Thou art complete controller of men. O Lord! Thou canst not be installed by the chiefs. 162.
ਅਨਭਵ ਅਨਾਸ ॥ ਮੁਨਿ ਮਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ ॥
अनभव अनास ॥ मुनि मनि प्रकास ॥
O Lord! Thou art eternal knowledge. O Lord! Thou art illumined in the hearts of the sages.
ਗੁਨਿ ਗਨ ਪ੍ਰਨਾਮ ॥ ਜਲ ਥਲ ਮੁਦਾਮ ॥੧੬੩॥
गुनि गन प्रनाम ॥ जल थल मुदाम ॥१६३॥
O Lord! The assemblies of virtuous bow before thee. O Lord! Thou pervadest in water and on land. 163.
ਅਨਿਛੱਜ ਅੰਗ ॥ ਆਸਨ ਅਭੰਗ ॥
अनिछ्ज अंग ॥ आसन अभंग ॥
O Lord! Thy body is unbreakable. O Lord! Thy seat is perpetual.
ਉਪਮਾ ਅਪਾਰ ॥ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਉਦਾਰ ॥੧੬੪॥
उपमा अपार ॥ गति मिति उदार ॥१६४॥
O Lord! Thy Praises are boundless. O Lord! Thy nature is most Generous. 164.
ਜਲ ਥਲ ਅਮੰਡ ॥ ਦਿਸ ਵਿਸ ਅਭੰਡ ॥
जल थल अमंड ॥ दिस विस अभंड ॥
O Lord! Thou art most glorious in water and on land. O Lord! Thou art free from slander at all places.
ਜਲ ਥਲ ਮਹੰਤ ॥ ਦਿਸ ਵਿਸ ਬਿਅੰਤ ॥੧੬੫॥
जल थल महंत ॥ दिस विस बिअंत ॥१६५॥
O Lord! Thou art Supreme in water and on land. O Lord! Thou art endless in all directions. 165.
ਅਨਭਵ ਅਨਾਸ ॥ ਧ੍ਰਿਤ ਧਰ ਧੁਰਾਸ ॥
अनभव अनास ॥ ध्रित धर धुरास ॥
O Lord! Thou art eternal knowledge. O Lord! Thou art Supreme among the contented ones.
ਆਜਾਨ ਬਾਹੁ ॥ ਏਕੈ ਸਦਾਹੁ ॥੧੬੬॥
आजान बाहु ॥ एकै सदाहु ॥१६६॥
O Lord! Thou art the arm of gods. O Lord! Thou art ever the Only One. 166.
ਓਅੰਕਾਰ ਆਦਿ ॥ ਕਥਨੀ ਅਨਾਦਿ ॥
ओअंकार आदि ॥ कथनी अनादि ॥
O Lord! Thou art AUM, the origin of creation. O Lord! Thou art stated to be without beginning.
ਖਲ ਖੰਡ ਖਿਆਲ ॥ ਗੁਰ ਬਰ ਅਕਾਲ ॥੧੬੭॥
खल खंड खिआल ॥ गुर बर अकाल ॥१६७॥
O Lord! Thou destroyest the tyrants instantly. O Lord thou art supreme and Immortal. 167.
ਘਰ ਘਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਨਾਮ ॥ ਚਿਤ ਚਰਨ ਨਾਮ ॥
घर घरि प्रनाम ॥ चित चरन नाम ॥
O Lord! Thou art honoured in every house. O Lord! Thy Feet and Thy Name are meditated in every heart.
ਅਨਿਛੱਜ ਗਾਤ ॥ ਆਜਿਜ ਨ ਬਾਤ ॥੧੬੮॥
अनिछ्ज गात ॥ आजिज न बात ॥१६८॥
O Lord! Thy body never becomes old. O Lord! Thou art never subservient to anybody. 168.
ਅਨਝੰਝ ਗਾਤ ॥ ਅਨਰੰਜ ਬਾਤ ॥
अनझंझ गात ॥ अनरंज बात ॥
O Lord! Thy body is ever steady. O Lord! Thou art free from rage.
ਅਨਟੁਟ ਤੰਡਾਰ ॥ ਅਨਠਟ ਅਪਾਰ ॥੧੬੯॥
अनटुट तंडार ॥ अनठट अपार ॥१६९॥
O Lord! Thy store is inexhaustible. O Lord! Thou art uninstalled and boundless. 169.
ਆਡੀਠ ਧਰਮ ॥ ਅਤਿ ਢੀਠ ਕਰਮ ॥
आडीठ धरम ॥ अति ढीठ करम ॥
O Lord! Thy Law is imperceptible. O Lord! Thy actions are most fearless.
ਅਣਬ੍ਰਣ ਅਨੰਤ ॥ ਦਾਤਾ ਮਹੰਤ ॥੧੭੦॥
अणब्रण अनंत ॥ दाता महंत ॥१७०॥
O Lord! Thou art Invincible and Infinite. O Lord! Thou art the Supreme Donor. 170.

O Lord! Thou art the house of Mercy. Lord! Thou art The Destroyer of enemies.
ਖਲ ਖੰਡਨ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਮਹਿ ਮੰਡਨ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੭੧॥
खल खंडन हैं ॥ महि मंडन हैं ॥१७१॥
O Lord! Thou art the killer of evil persons. O Lord! Thou art the ornamentation of Earth. 171.
ਜਗਤੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਹੈਂ ॥
जगतेस्वर हैं ॥ परमेस्वर हैं ॥
O Lord! Thou art the Master of the universe. O Lord! Thou art the supreme Ishvara.
ਕਲਿ ਕਾਰਣ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਸਰਬ ਉਬਾਰਣ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੭੨॥
कलि कारण हैं ॥ सरब उबारण हैं ॥१७२॥
O Lord! Thou art the cause of strife. O Lord! Thou art the Saviour of all. 172.
ਧ੍ਰਿਤ ਕੇ ਧ੍ਰਣ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਜਗ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰਣ ਹੈਂ ॥
ध्रित के ध्रण हैं ॥ जग के क्रण हैं ॥
O Lord! Thou art the support of the Earth. O Lord! Thou art the Creator of the Universe.
ਮਨ ਮਾਨਿਯ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਜਗ ਜਾਨਿਯ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੭੩॥
मन मानिय हैं ॥ जग जानिय हैं ॥१७३॥
O Lord! Thou art worshipped in the heart. O Lord! Thou art known throughout the world.173.
ਸਰਬੰ ਭਰ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਸਰਬੰ ਕਰ ਹੈਂ ॥
सरबं भर हैं ॥ सरबं कर हैं ॥
O Lord! Thou art the Sustainer of all. O Lord! Thou art the Creator of all.
ਸਰਬ ਪਾਸਿਯ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਸਰਬ ਨਾਸਿਯ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੭੪॥
सरब पासिय हैं ॥ सरब नासिय हैं ॥१७४॥
O Lord! Thou pervadest all. O Lord! Thou destroyest all. 174.
ਕਰੁਣਾਕਰ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਬਿਸ੍ਵੰਭਰ ਹੈਂ ॥
करुणाकर हैं ॥ बिस्व्मभर हैं ॥
O Lord! Thou art the Fountain of Mercy. O Lord! Thou art the nourisher of the universe.
ਸਰਬੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਜਗਤੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੭੫॥
सरबेस्वर हैं ॥ जगतेस्वर हैं ॥१७५॥
O Lord! Thou art master of all. Lord! Thou art the Master of Universe. 175
ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰਡਸ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਖਲ ਖੰਡਸ ਹੈਂ ॥
ब्रहमंडस हैं ॥ खल खंडस हैं ॥
O Lord! Thou art the life of the Universe. O Lord! Thou art the destroyer of evil-doers.
ਪਰ ਤੇ ਪਰ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਕਰੁਣਾਕਰ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੭੬॥
पर ते पर हैं ॥ करुणाकर हैं ॥१७६॥
O Lord! Thou art beyond everything. O Lord! Thou art the Fountain of Mercy. 176.
ਅਜਪਾ ਜਪ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਅਥਪਾ ਥਪ ਹੈਂ ॥
अजपा जप हैं ॥ अथपा थप हैं ॥
O Lord! Thou art the unmuttered mantra. O Lord! Thou canst be installed by none.
ਅਕ੍ਰਿਤਾਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਅਮ੍ਰਿਤਾਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੭੭॥
अक्रिताक्रित हैं ॥ अम्रिताम्रित हैं ॥१७७॥
O Lord! Thy Image canst not be fashioned. O Lord! Thou art Immortal. 177.

अम्रिताम्रित हैं ॥ करुणाक्रित हैं ॥
O Lord! Thou art immortal. O Lord! Thou art the Merciful Entity.
ਅਕ੍ਰਿਤਾਕ੍ਰਤ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਧਰਣੀਧ੍ਰਿਤ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੭੮॥
अक्रिताक्रत हैं ॥ धरणीध्रित हैं ॥१७८॥
O Lord Thy Image canst not be fashioned. O Lord! Thou art the Support of the Earth. 178.
ਅਮ੍ਰਿਤੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਪਰਮੇਸ੍ਵਰ ਹੈਂ ॥
अम्रितेस्वर हैं ॥ परमेस्वर हैं ॥
O Lord! Thou art the Master of Nectar. O Lord! Thou art Supreme Ishvara.
ਅਕ੍ਰਿਤਾਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਅਮ੍ਰਿਤਾਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਹੈਂ ॥੧੭੯॥
अक्रिताक्रित हैं ॥ अम्रिताम्रित हैं ॥१७९॥
O Lord! Thy Image canst not be fashioned. O Lord! Thou art Immortal. 179.
ਅਜਬਾਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਹੈਂ ॥ ਅਮ੍ਰਿਤਾਅਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਹੈਂ ॥
अजबाक्रित हैं ॥ अम्रिताअम्रित हैं ॥
O Lord! Thou art of Wonderful Form.O Lord! Thou art Immortal.

About Jaap Sahib ji
Jaap Sahib, given place of prominence in the Dasam Granth is the invocation made by the khalsa-a hymn in praise of the omnipotent God. The attributes and qualities of God delineated herein are based on the transcendental nature of God, He who is without attributes as in the ideology of Nirgunwad. While on one hand the form and shape of the Almighty God as portrayed in Gurbani have been further honed and highlighted, on the other hand there is an elaboration and embellishment of it. There is specific purpose behind this literary creation and it has been written in a unique style.
In fact, of all the transcendental literature written in the middle age the Jaap Sahib stands out unique for delineating the humanitarian attributes of God who is without attributes by presenting them in a worldly and universal form. It has proved itself as a cardinal literary piece in all northern Indian literature for its brilliance, sublimity and majesty. The Jaap Sahib has no equal.
The Jaap Sahib has evolved as the product of extensive reflection, cogitation and deliberation through moments of awe and reverence experienced by Guru Gobind Singh Ji. In this creation the various attributes of God almighty have been depicted. He is without caste, without creed, without community, without religion and he is fearless. He is the destroyer of enemies too. This aspect of “the destroyer of evil” proved a great force as it enthused the terror stricken multitudes into such an awesome force of might and courage that it could not be suppressed any more.
From the point of view of diction and style too it is a matchless piece of writing. The vocabulary used and the connotations suggested by these words have lent it a universalism that makes it significant and meaningful for people of all religions. This is why people of varied religious backgrounds have accepted it and even today read it with great devotion. Indeed, the quintessential message of gurbani is not limited to followers of any one religion but hold true for people of all religions. This is why it is said to have a universal appeal. Infact, this universalism is not limited to the message only. It also holds true for the language or diction. Because for gurbani every language is pure, every word is sacred.
Another outstanding feature of the Jaap Sahib is the beautiful and amazing manner in which worship and might merge together. Might or power by itself is blind. When it gets bound to worship instead of becoming the destroyer of mankind it becomes the destroyer of evil. These writings encourage the saint-soldier to participate in war as the metre and rhyme scheme, full of alliteration and rhythm is set to martial moves. At the same time care has been taken that all moral values and norms of society are upheld while fighting evil.
Japji Sahib ji
Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Mool Mantra followed by 38 hymns and a final Salok is at the very beginning of the Guru Granth Sahib. It is regarded as the most important Bani or ‘set of verses’ and is recited every morning by all practicing Sikhism.
Jaap Sahib ji
Jaap Sahib was composed by Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji. The Jaap Sahib is the first Bani in the Dasam Granth, which is said to have been compiled by Bhai Mani Singh around the year 1734.
Tav Prasad Savaiye
This is a short hymn of 10 stanzas. It is a part of Guru Gobind Singh’s composition Akal Ustat (The praise of God). This Bani appears in the Dasam Granth on pages 13 to 15.
Chaupai Sahib ji
Chaupai is the 405th Chittar of the Charitropakhyan of the Dasam Granth by Guru Gobind Singh ji. Sikhs recite this Bani to gain spiritual safety and defense from external and internal enemies, worries and afflictions. The Gurmukhi gives one self-confidence and an upbeat feeling. This Bani gives one the feeling of reliability and dependability on Wahe Guru Ji.
Anand Sahib ji
The word Anand means complete happiness and it is said that the person reciting this Bani in the morning with dedication, attention, and comprehension can achieve happiness and peace of mind. The Anand Sahib is written by Guru Amar Das ji, the third Guru. This Bani appears on pages 917 to 922 of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji.
Ardas
The Ardās is done before performing or after undertaking any significant task; after reciting the morning and evening Banis, at the completion of a service like the Paath, kirtan or any other religious program. Ardās may also be said before and after eating. The prayer is a supplication to God to support and help the devotee with whatever he or she is about to undertake or has done.
Shabad Hazare
Guru Gobind Singh ji describes his philosophy and inherent beliefs of Dharam and its perception. Speaking against mindless rituals, and beliefs in many Gods (as opposed to belief in the One), the ballads narrate the greatness of the Almighty.
Rehras Sahib
Rehraas Sahib is collection of hymns of five different Gurus. The Rehras as recorded in the Guru Granth Sahib contains hymns of only Guru Nanakji, Guru Amardas ji, Guru Ramdas ji and Guru Arjan Dev ji. The compositions of Guru Gobind Singh ji were added in Rehras Sahib.
Kirtan Sohila
Three Gurus — Guru Nanak, Guru Ram Das and Guru Arjan – contributed five shabads on the pain of separation and celebrating the bliss of union. The first three Shabads were uttered by Guru Nanak, the fourth by Guru Ram Das and the fifth by Guru Arjan Dev. This is the night prayer said by all Sikhs before sleeping.
Aarti
This is a compiled Bani from Guru Granth Sahib Ji and Dasam Granth. Various parts are composed by Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Bhagat Kabir ji, Bhagat RaviDass Ji and Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
Sukhmani Sahib
Sukhmani literally means Peace in your mind. this Bani is believed to bring peace to one’s mind and compoundly peace to the world. This set of 192 hymns were compiled by the fifth Sikh Guru, Guru Arjan Dev Ji. This is divided into 24 sections in the Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji on page 262. Each section, which is called an Ashtpadi(asht means 8), consists of 8 hymns per Ashtpadi.
Asa Di Var
It is a collection of 24 pauris or stanzas by Guru Nanak Dev ji on page 462-475 in Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji. Guru Arjan Dev ji also added a few Sloks of Guru Angad Dev ji. These Sloks are tied together in a way that they relate to the same theme as highlighted in the pauri. Asa Di Var also contains a few shabads recited by Guru Ram Das ji.
Ramkali Ki Vaar
Ramkali Ki Var, also known as Tikke di Var, is the joint composition of the Balvand and Satta. The Var comprises of eight pauns or stanzas, of unequal length, varying from seven to twenty-one lines.
Basant Ki Var
Basant Ki Var, by Guru Arjan Dev, is the shortest of the twentytwo vars. Vars are heroic ballads included in the Guru Granth Sahib. Basant, is the Punjabi word for spring from which the musical measure the Var derives its title. Like Malhar (the raga of the rainy season) the Basant Ki Var is an ancient seasonal raga – the raga of springtime.
Barah Maah Maajh
It is a form of folk poetry in which the emotions and yearnings of the human heart are expressed in terms of the changing moods of Nature over the twelve months of the year. Guru Nanak Dev ji’s Barah Maha is the oldest composition in this genre transforming into spirituality. This is followed by Guru Arjan’s Barah Maha.
Dukh Bhanjani Sahib
It begins with the shabad “Dukh bhanjan tera naam meaning “The Destroyer of Suffering is Thy Name”. It is a compilation of scripture which includes many shabads written by fifth Guru Arjun Dev ji during the illness and healing of his young son sixth Guru Hargobind ji.
Akal Ustat
It is the second Bani in the Dasam Granth. This text spans from page 33 to page 94. It is composed of 271 verses, and is largely devotional in nature. ‘Akal’ translates to ‘Immortal’ and ‘Ustat’ translates to ‘praise of’. The text describes the many forms of the Almighty in nature, and how mankind perceives this great entity.
Chandi Ki Var
Chandi di Var also known as Var Sri Bhagauti Ji is a composition included in the 5th chapter of Dasam Granth. It is based on an episode from the Sanskrit work Markandeya Purana, and describes the conflict between the Gods and the Demons. The first part of the Var is known as the “Ardas”, the opening Section of Sikh prayer which invokes the names of the Gurus.
